Happy New Years from Station 293!


This weekend, station 293 will be having a boot drive to raise money for their equipment fund. Stop by Giant Eagle at the Kennywood Shopping mall and make a donation!

The members of the Homeville VFC participated in the 135th Pennsylvania Fireman's 2014 Convention Parade that was held in Meadville, PA, on Saturday, September 27th. Prior to leaving and returning home, Members posed at Conneaut 5's house and send their greatest appreciation to the members there for allowing Homeville to use their station to wash and ready our rigs for show.

Around 1053 station 293 was dispatched for a vehicle fire endangering a structure. Upon arrival, 293 firefighter Gary Kopcho found a fully involved engine compartment fire as well as smoke coming from the structure. 293 Quint and 171 Truck crew extinguished the car fire and made entry through the garage of the house. During the suppression of the car fire, Baldwin EMS crew reported they had fire in the basement of the structure. Crews from 294 assisted Baldwin EMS with the suppression of the fire in the garage. Crews were able to make a quick knock and kept minimal damage to the structure.
