Members from station 293 would like to welcome home Lieutenant Alex Scripp from Munhall #5. Alex was recently injured from a house fire in Munhall and today he got to come home.

Around 2000 hours station 293 was dispatched for a structure fire in the area of Coal Road and Homestead Duquesne Road. Prior to arrival, 293 L-1 updated the assignment to a fully involved structure fire. 293 C-3 responded and found a 2 story abandoned structure fully involved on the alpha side. 293 Quint responded and staged on the Alpha side of the structure for a defensive attack. 298 Engine provided a water supply to 293 Quint for fire suppression. Responding companies from 294, 298, 171, 133 provided assistance with fire suppression, company 161 provided RIT and company 203 and salvation army provided rehab support. Allegheny County Fire Marshall is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
